Botafogo

There are banks, pharmacies, sidewalk cafes, and on the other side of this, a very upscale delicatessen store, bakery, and wine store. Bring money and all can be had.

The local Metro station. You can buy a multi-pass card there that can be recharged and lets you ride all over Rio. There are also ATMs down there. From here, in one direction one connects to Ipanema or Copacabana beach and in the other to Central Rio.

So, one day I saw these elaborately constumed kids in front of the upscale deli and asked them to pose. They were collecting money for their show (and party, I'll bet) and this was worth a $10 to me

How cool is that? For me an unexpected, unique, and most enjoyable quick picture session.

I had a little fun myself, when my choices were to either have a beer	or drink my Godam milk for lunch. I found it only here in Botafogo
